I suppose that depends on what your average is. Where I am from, it is... normal to turn ones worship to Below. [ The "evil" gods is implied, though evil and good are not as... much about morality as they are about who one is worshipping. It's Complicated. ]

I will admit, I am not often the most... pious of sorts, but I understand what benediction gains. And what making an enemy of gods would do as well.
