Death will come for everything and everyone eventually. Since it's an inevitable outcome, there's no point in worrying about it. It will happen when it happens.

What you don't do is give up and smother someone prematurely because you believe it will spare them a different death. You can't know how they will die or how they perceive their last moments. The worst thing you can do is assume you know best how someone else should face their own end.

I am what the World summons when its existence is threatened, so needless to say, I've had some experience with the looming threat of the end of everything.

You choose to see suffering. Existence has always been about the struggle to survive despite all the forces seeking to destroy you. To deny them that at the end would be denying them that dignity you're so worried about.
