Open to All | Communion
[Communion begins and despite the source, it's strained. At least, in a way that perhaps it shouldn't be, especially considering that it involves Midna, who seems like one of the most nonchalant individuals in this world. She hasn't, in truth, addressed much of anything or anyone since the Harbinger incident, her death, her relocation to Highstorm, and that is beginning to bite her in the Twili backside.
Of course, if she were less prideful, she might actually address that. But maybe it all comes across in something about her, or what feels like wavering conviction, an otherwise kind of weakness she wouldn't ever intentionally display.]
Poor Springstar. There couldn't have been a better time for me to get out of there.
[Never mind that the discord a Meridian experiences in opposing atmosphere is a real contender. Perhaps Midna will turn as monstrous as those attacking the city of infinite light, except to her understanding, they aren't real monsters. No. Her discord is already manifesting in its own way.]
That said, surely we're keeping it all under control, no? The lot of us perfectly capable. If these little obstacles we go through for the Oracles don't hinder us, I find it hard to believe that a bit of chaos and murder is going to stop us. Well, those of us eager to throw ourselves into the fray that is.
[...So... people who aren't her?]
I'm sure I'll be making a little visit over there eventually, but that's not why I'm here now. Since I've made Highstorm my darling little home, I'd like to learn a bit more about it. It's beautiful, there are some nice places to eat, but I'm afraid I just don't know the area well enough. And I've been asked if I'll be decorating my home. I don't suppose there's a nice place to go shopping or some decorative ideas. Much as I'd love to fill my place with paintings, I've discerning taste.
I promise if I can get a little self-indulgence out of the way, I'll certainly be more helpful to my fellow Meridians.
[Which she may, or may not be. Either way, she thinks she's doing a great job pretending to be... well. Herself. But she's probably laying it on too thick this time.]

[He is a businessman, even if it's not a skill he's had any use for in Kenos. Perhaps others would be put off, but it had been a request he'd been half expecting.]
Your terms are perfectly acceptable.
no subject
[In one way or another, that is. And no, she really doesn't, but she's certainly not going to admit to it.]
So you can escort me around. Can't have a lady carrying things for herself, after all. What a shame it'd be if I pulled something in one of my arms or hurt my hand.

[He says obliviously.]
I have been here long enough to know my way around the markets, after all.
no subject
I would certainly hope so. I believe you've been here in this world longer than I have. If you don't know your way around a market, there might not be any hope for the rest of us. But to be fair, I didn't mind a little window shopping, as it were. I don't even know if I'll find anything that I like.
[Not to mention that Midna does not have an unending income, as it were.]
no subject
[But as for the markets...]
That's fair enough. There's a reason my own living space is rather sparse— though that doesn't stop me from looking. I've heard rumors about a shop said to sell things from our worlds, or at least things that resemble them, but I've never seen it myself.

Although it does make her wonder why more people haven't simply risen up, if that's the case. It's not likely that everyone brought here is perfectly patient. She doesn't even know who to discuss that with or what good discussion would even do at this point. Maybe that's the effect, however. Resignation. After so long of beating one's face against a wall, it'll come to a close and surrender will ensue.
Perhaps that's what's happened.]
Hm. [Is the only observation she outwardly makes about that. Still, it's good to know all the same.] Selling things from our worlds. I wasn't aware that was a thing either. Of course, if it's just duplication that hardly seems worth it. I wouldn't be fooled by something artificial. I'd like to think our last Oracle misadventure taught me quite enough of that.
[Although what it's really taught her is she won't dare trust a single thing that even resembles something familiar to her in this world, because it'll probably just be a big, giant lie.]
no subject
[But it's worth bringing up just the same.
Though he can't know her thoughts on the matter, it's obvious he's rather cynical over the idea.]
It's always struck me as a bit of a dangling carrot.

[She cannot be bribed and she suspects Cid cannot either. Much less with things less than authentic.]
no subject
Still, I don't know what to make of it. Where would they get information on our worlds to begin with? Creating convincing fakes must come from knowledge.
