This is a post where you'll find a header in the comments for Aetós, Agapitos Voreen, and Florence Deshayes respectively.

As a reminder from our course correction, your OOC understanding of their places in their factions should not influence IC reactions, especially to Agapitos and Florence. Aggressive threats and demands are likely to be ignored, because this would be very out of the blue to them! ( You can be mean to Aetós, though. They're a dick, and they just won't respond. )

Timewise, Agapitos and Florence's posts are shortly after Shard-Bearers awake after the repose (roughly a day to give people a chance to get their bearings/go get a haircut/etc), and Aetós's portion is later in the month.

Had kidnapped and experimented on shard-bearers since the very first months of our arrival in this place. “Experimented”, they say, instead of “tortured”.

His little projects end up half-mad beasts made of multiple shards wandering the woods knowing only pain and rage. That, or doing his bidding or wreaking havoc in the city, apparently. He has so many varied “experiments” who is to say what the next one will be.

[It looks like he has volunteers already. Great. Now she has to try and kill them first.]

I see. If that dream I had was anything to go by, I figured it'd be safe to assume that if they didn't get their willing volunteers, then they'd just seek out unwilling ones instead.

[It's not much unlike the justification the Father used to conduct their experiments on dying children, all for the pursuit of their research.

[Yeah. Jade can safely say she is Not A Fan.]

The one you had before we woke?

[She remembers hers. The pain. The screams. The knowing... that it was Aetos who had done it. And here he was... telling them to believe that those dreams had been real.

Well, if they were... Then she has all the more reason to kill him.]

That'd be the one, yeah. I was told others had similar dreams as well, so I figured there was something more to them.

[Most would probably write them off, but with Jade's experience in dealing with other Eventualities, the images stuck with her.]

I -- that is, another me who had allied herself with Zenith -- was killed, then turned into some kinda... monster.

Then the dream you had was similar enough to mine.

Except I know positive that if that dream was any sort of reality... then the one who made the monster of me was Aetos. Just like he made the beast of Manon. You would not know him, but he was a Zenite shardbearer.

One who was tortured and warped into a screaming hellbeast in the Alenroux woods.

The details are rather fuzzy, though I do remember seeing this mask. Wish I could say I'm surprised by any of this, but...

[Yeah. She's not. If Jade had a penny for every time she had to deal with a long-lived masked-wearing sociopath with a propensity for kidnapping and forced experimentation... she'd have two pennies. But still weird it's happened twice.]

What're the experiments for, exactly? I can't imagine they're doing all of that for kicks.

Ask them and they will go on about the timestream and the nature of a soul. I am no mage.

But those types will say anything.

Hm. I'm well aware -- I've had the absolute "pleasure" of being acquainted with one of those types before coming here. They were just as twisted in their justification for literal torture in the pursuit of researching the human soul.

[Hence, Jade felt very little desire to engage with Aetós any more than necessary. She's giving that can of worms a wide berth.]

Either way, I'm not in the habit of making nice with those with a history of experimenting on unwilling subjects.

It seems there will always be such people- obsessed with their own curiosities and the consequences and rightness of it all be damned.

If you would not make nice with those, then do not make nice with this one.
